news from  Andrej  Bjuklic, Slovinia SEMI SOLO-SOCA KATARAKT at  200 m³/s It was a long time, I was looking forward to do some big volume runs on Soca Katarakt. The past weekend finally a rain storm faced directly with Slovenia. Heavy rain drains directly into Soca It was Sunday afternoon when gauge in Log cezsoski  reached 200 m³/s. I did several runs in extremely high water but for me 200 m³/s was the biggest level ever. Bostjan Marcina and Denis Zerezghi came with me that day, we did together the section from Srpenica to Trnovo ob Soci (to the broken bridge).… more

Devils Extreme Race  River Moldau (Vltava) is the longest river in the Czech Republic and so is mostly dammed, but on its top part right under the Lipno  dam is an amazing stretch of  Class 4-5 whitewater called the Devils Streams. Most of the year this amazing part of the river is dry and has enough water to wash your hands. The last weekend of August, it's all different story, boaters all over the Czech end Central Europe come under the Lipno dam to enjoy the annual release of warm water.
